The new year has come early for off-road enthusiasts of all ages: Yamaha, premier manufacturer of off-road vehicles, has just announced their 2023 model year lineup of Off-Road ATVs and Side-by-Side vehicles. Whether you’re working on a farm or ranch, participating in a national racing circuit, or just exploring adventurous terrain for fun, Yamaha is a brand you can trust when it comes to capability, comfort, and confidence.
Yamaha is about more than just making high-quality motorsports vehicles. As Steve Nessl, Yamaha’s motorsports marketing manager, puts it: The measures we’ve taken to ensure that [Yamaha owners] have the best owner experience—whither its seamless accessory integration, an industry-exclusive 10-Year Belt Warranty, or our advanced U.S. based manufacturing facility—showcases our commitment to building proven, reliable products for our Yamaha family around the world.
The 2023 Lineups include the following categories:
- The Recreational SxS Lineup
- The Pure Sport SxS Lineup
- The Utility SxS Lineup
- The Utility ATV Lineup
- The Sport ATV Lineup
- The Youth ATV Lineup
The 2023 Yamaha Wolverine models in the Recreational SxS Lineup are the most versatile of the bunch, perfect for everything from farming and ranch work to hunting and overland exploring. All models are available in either 2-seat or 4-seat models. The 2-seat chassis models are equipped with a hydraulic piston-assist dump bed, while the 4-seat chassis included full sized rear seats that can easily be stowed away. For the ultimate off-road adventure, the Wolverine RMAX 1000 comes with three power delivery modes: Crawl, Trail, and Sport.
Speaking of sport, if you’re into high performance SxS vehicles built to handle everything from dunes to muddy trails to rocky terrain, you’re going to want to see the 2023 YXZ1000R lineup. It’s the first Yamaha model to feature a 998-cc triple-cylinder engine and a five-speed manual transmission. The YXZ1000R SS model also features Yamaha’s proprietary auto-clutch Sport Shift technology for a more seamless shifting experience.
For every duty outdoor work, you can trust the 2023 Viking and Viking VI for their Real World Tough durability. Featuring Yamaha’s proven 700-class engine and class-leading cabin with enough room for 3 to 6 people, the Viking lineup will get the job done, no matter where the work takes you.
Looking for an ATV that can handle both work and recreation? The Grizzly, Kodiak 700, and Kodiak 450 are top performers when it comes to both power and performance. The 2023 Kodiak 700 and Kodiak 450 offer some of the bast capability of any all-terrain vehicle. Featuring sleeker, more compact designs, the Kodiaks are perfect for maneuvering tight, technical trails with ease.
The 2023 Raptor 700 and Raptor 700R models offer as superior power-to-weight ratio thanks to its lightweight, rigid hybrid steel-aluminum frame. For the best handling on any terrain type from dunes to trails, upgrade to the Raptor 700R’s race-caliber suspension. These sport ATVs are both light and durable. And if you really want to ride like the pros, you’ll want the 2023 YFZ450R, driven by none other than reigning Grand National Cross Country and ATV Motocross champions Walker Fowler and Chad Wienin.
Yamaha is also offering several youth versions of their top performing ATVs in the 2023 lineup, including the Grizzly 90, Raptor 90, and YFZ50. The youth Grizzly and Raptor models are suitable for riders 10 and up, while budding motorsports enthusiasts as young as 6 can handle the YFZ50. Adult models are suitable for riders over the age of 16.
